Service. Humanity. Engagement.

A community of women empowering each other through service, meaningful connection, and collective action for a better world.

The SHE began with a simple idea and a deep need - to connect with other local women, build real relationships, and find meaningful ways to contribute to our community. We believe in cultivating a community where joy, purpose, and impact are shared and experienced together.

Our Purpose

The SHE is a community of like-minded women committed to empathy, action, and purpose. We aim to build meaningful connections, offer a safe space for sharing and support, and create positive change in our world and in each other's lives.

Together, we help organizations in need, empower each other, and seek moments of joy and purpose through collective action. We’re here to be the change we want to see, to stand against injustice, and to inspire our children and community with a legacy of compassion and strength.

Above all, we believe in having fun while making a difference.

Who We Are

We are a growing community of women in the Magnolia area coming together to build meaningful connections, support one another, and create a positive impact in our neighborhood and beyond.

The SHE stands for Service, Humanity, and Engagement—three values that guide everything we do. Whether we’re volunteering with local nonprofits, learning something new, or simply gathering for fun and friendship, we believe in showing up for each other and making space for joy, purpose, and community.

Everyone is welcome—come as you are and join us in building something special, together.

What We Do

At The SHE, we create space for women in Magnolia to connect, grow, and give back—together.

Each month, we host a variety of activities, from social gatherings like Bunco nights and Paint & Sip evenings, to educational talks, service projects with local nonprofits, and wellness outings like Dance Church. Many events are led by members, bringing their own passions and talents to the group.

Whether you're here for friendship, fun, or to make a difference (or all of the above), there's something for everyone. Join us as we build a vibrant, welcoming community—one event at a time.

Our Founders

The SHE began in November 2024, shortly after the election, when five women gathered to imagine the kind of community they wanted to create. Out of those conversations, The SHE took root. Today, co-founders Christi Birchfield and Lauren Lozano lead the group by inviting speakers, planning monthly gatherings, building nonprofit partnerships, and creating meaningful opportunities to connect and give back.

Christi and Lauren met and became friends while their children attended classes at Magnolia Cooperative Preschool. Christi, born in Cleveland, Ohio, is a mom to Ellarose and Emmett and an extraordinary artist whose creativity shapes much of the group’s spirit. Lauren, born in Sacramento, California, is a mom to William and Henry who loves bringing ideas to life and building connections that inspire community.

Together, they believe in the power of women supporting women—and that when we come together with purpose and joy, we can create something truly lasting.
